The National Environmental Standard and Regulation Enforcement Agency, (NESREA) has commended the proactiveness of Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited in compliance to the environmental safety standards. The Zonal Director, NESREA Northwest regional office in Kano Mr. M. O. Abdulraheem made the commend at a sensitization meeting with management of the company. He stated that the agency in its new approach to promote voluntary compliance on the environmental safety standards as a global best practice, sensitize organizations through interactive sessions and trainings on its mandate. ‘’The era of force for compliance is over, we now center our energy on strategic engagements with stakeholders to ensure that organizations and communities comply on their own, knowing fully well that we are here to support compliance would help in achieving the desired goals” he confirmed In his response, the chairman Dantata Foods and Allied Products limited Alhaji Tajuddeen Aminu Dantata, said the company gives safety a high priority in its operations. Represented by the Executive Director Human Resource Hajiya Bara T. Dantata, the chairman of the company assured NESREA of a mutual working relationship with total adherence to the agency’s regulation on environmental safety standards. “As a processor of food items, there is no option than to ensure safety of our products, employees and that of the communities we operate in, the company will soon unveil a robust health, safety and environment’s standard operating procedure (SOP) in compliance with international standards” he assured Dantata Foods and Allied Products Limited, is a leading foods organization in Africa that services the Asian and Middle East markets with over a decade track records in the Agro-processing industry.
